The rules for using OffYet, in plain words.

Draft. A lawyer will review this before public sign-up.

Estimates only

Every time OffYet shows is an estimate. It can be wrong, and it can’t see late calls or decisions made that morning.

Never use it for operational or staffing decisions.

Your choice to use it

Using OffYet is your own choice. Nobody requires it, and your agency doesn’t provide it. You decide to sign up and to link your own OSS login, and you can stop and delete your account at any time.

Your timesheet is yours

OffYet is a voluntary app, a possible source of information to jog your memory. Its times, including any history of past late reliefs, are estimates for your own reference. They aren’t a record of the hours you worked, and they aren’t proof for pay, overtime or any other claim.

You’re responsible for what you put on your timesheet. Record your actual hours, the way your agency’s policies and your MOU require. If OffYet and your records disagree, your records win.

Not affiliated

OffYet is independent. It isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by CAL FIRE, Riverside County, or OSS.

Your OSS use

You’re responsible for your own use of OSS, under your agency’s policies. OffYet only reads what your login can already open, and never changes anything in OSS.

Before you link your login, make sure using it this way is allowed under your agency’s policies, your MOU and any rules for OSS. If it isn’t, don’t use OffYet. You’re responsible for following them, not OffYet.

Your account

Don’t share your account. One OSS login per OffYet account, and it has to be your own.

We can suspend or close an account that’s misused, for example one that uses someone else’s login.

Access ends

Your access ends when your OSS login stops working. Link a working login again to get back in.

Connected assistants

If you connect an AI assistant, you choose to send it your own answer. That service’s terms apply to what it receives. OffYet isn’t responsible for what it does with it or for its replies.

Payments

Paid plans start only after 15 days’ notice in the app. When they start, each account gets a 30-day free trial, and no card is needed until you choose to pay. Payments go through Stripe.

A day pass is $5 and unlocks your times for 24 hours from payment. The year is $60 and renews every year at the price you paid, until you cancel.

You can cancel online any time in Manage your plan. It then runs to the end of the year you paid for.

Day pass: if it didn’t help, ask within 24 hours for a full refund. The year: a full refund within 14 days of buying or renewing; after that, cancel any time and keep it to the end of the year. For a refund, use Contact.

No promises

OffYet is provided as it is, without any warranty. It may be unavailable, out of date or wrong, and OSS may change in ways that stop it working.

Limits on liability

As far as the law allows, OffYet and the person who runs it aren’t liable for any loss that comes from using it or relying on it. That includes pay or overtime disputes, discipline, timesheet errors and missed or late reliefs.

If OffYet is found liable anyway, the most it owes is what you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim. During early access that’s nothing.

Changes
